The Inspiration

Journey of the Seed explores the journey of creation through the metaphor of a seed.

The design reflects the quiet miracle of the universe unfolding in slow, sacred patterns. Earthen pots filled with golden seeds become symbols of abundance and origin. The seed represents potential, continuity, and the sacred relationship between land and people.

This sari speaks of our dependence on nature and the gratitude we owe to it. The golden seeds are treasures gifted by Mother Earth. They remind us that existence itself is a blessing.

From Sari to Art

Painting on silk was both a challenge and an adventure. The medium demanded discovery. Silk absorbs color differently, encouraging new forms and patterns to emerge organically.

Bharti used brushes along with Setasilk fabric paints to achieve depth and luminosity. The process became one of learning and exploration, allowing the fabric to guide the rhythm of the composition.

The silk surface transformed into fertile ground, holding pigment like soil holds seed.
