Journey

Sachin studied at Dalvis Art Institute in Kolhapur, completing a Diploma in Drawing and Painting in 2002. He later earned a Diploma in Applied Arts from Abhinav Kala Mahavidhyalaya, Pune, in 2004. His academic training helped him refine his drawing skills, sense of composition, and understanding of colour.

From early on, he chose women as the central subjects of his work. Inspired by daily village life, he observed how women balanced labor, care, responsibility, and grace. These lived experiences became recurring themes in his paintings.

His works have been showcased in numerous solo and group exhibitions across India, establishing his presence within the contemporary art scene.

Style

Women dominate Sachin’s canvases. He portrays them in rustic village settings, often engaged in everyday tasks such as farming, carrying food, tending to children, or participating in community gatherings. Despite their labour, his figures carry serenity and composure.

His style is marked by delicate lines, expressive facial features, and vibrant color palettes. Reds, yellows, oranges, and deep blues frequently appear in his compositions, giving his subjects warmth and visual presence. Flowers often accompany his female figures, symbolising tenderness and emotional connection.

Sachin blends realism with slight stylisation, creating works that feel both grounded and lyrical. Soft backgrounds and simplified forms allow the expressions of his subjects to take center stage. Through colour, texture, and gesture, he captures dignity, resilience, and quiet strength.
